The Mission Vision

We live in the most difficult of times in the world today.  By far, there is a deep spiritual need for the church to stand and be held accountable for the mission she has in Christ.  In a single word the church has been empowered to soar far and above the degradation that has taken our world hostage in these last days and times. That word was spoken by the savior over 2000 years ago in the great commission in Matthew 28:19. He said GO! In that single word alone lies the power, authority and resources to accomplish any kingdom task.

Many of our churches today are leaving the inner cities for the quiet security of suburban life.  This is due to break-ins, drug traffic, violent crimes, and many other dangers that are faced in inner city ministries. Insurance companies are increasingly more apprehensive about insuring these churches and security guards are often required to monitor parking facilities just to be safe in going in and coming out of worship service.  It is understandable why pastors and board members are choosing to vacate the inner cities.  There is a problem however that is far greater than the trouble we face in our struggles to exist and survive this satanic on slot.  With each church that closes or moves out, a spiritual void is left in the battle between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness.

Bishop Michael Barringer not only saw the need but heard the call.  Any great mission must have a great visionary as its director.  In this Greater Love Christian Church birthed its first offspring (Greater Love Christian Church Westwood).  A church birthed and designed to win lost souls to Christ and commissioned based on Matthew 28:18-20.  In order for any great vision to come into fruition, it must have like minded supporters.  Greater Love Christian Church Westwood is pastored by Overseer Pamela Perry who’s vision to reach young people in our society today fell right in line with what God has shown Bishop Barringer.

The obvious problem in running inner-city ministries would normally begin and end with finances.  With each new church that opens, its support system comes from the previous churches.  Greater Love Christian Church Westwood has become self sustaining and will now serve its purpose in helping to open a third church.  The vision is for 5 special needs churches to be opened in the inner city.  Each supported by the other.  Knowing that 5 is the number for grace we diligently seek your prayers that God will be gracious enough to draw to these churches such as should be saved.

Yes it is a lofty vision, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.  So the war rages on and a new commander has been put in charge of the Westwood community in Dayton Ohio.  With resolve, much prayer, fasting, and power we are resigned to have complete victory in our inner cities.  Let us consider this, if one soul is saved (just one) is it not worth all the effort we have put into this.

If you would like to be apart of this bygiving resources and any available talent by remodeling and reopening these churches we will gladly accept your donations.
